jest us

jest us
treat the day with laughter sweet
trust us
just in rhyme let secrets our necks
the script escapes our eyes but fleer our ears
with text
Hear us
Time writes lines between the brows
Fear us
A worthy heir in orchard slumbers
Cain slithers round his brothers
Skulls of fools rest ever under
Up waterfalls we will climb, turning water into wine
United Slaves hear the call, the sparkling mist drops gifts for all
Oh oh oh Here we go, Selling snow around the globe
Hey hey hey Today's the day
The Kings of Christmas ride away
Free us
From the maker's price for sacred cows
Change us
A glacial lake strains man made vows
A summer rain takes aim, endows
The wheat complete with berries sweet
Up waterfalls we will climb, turning water into wine
United Slaves hear the call, the sparkling mist drops gifts for all
Oh oh oh Here we go, Selling snow around the globe
Hey hey hey Today's the day
The Kings of Christmas ride away

Strawman
04:11
|
|||
Cloudburst, daisy chain and thunder
Holding hands through acid rain
Waking from a soul love slumber
If I'd only caught her name
Stars that guide our emerald eyes
Sing unending lullabies
The Rainman plants his seeds with patience
Following hymns of lands that grew
The Strawman tunes to his favourite station
He hears the fields will fill anew
Stars that guide our emerald eyes
Sing unending lullabies
A thousand voices sing like loons
Upon the hill, perfectly still
And all the while I heard another tune
Beyond the rain, behind the moon

Devil's Diamonds
06:13
|
|||
I went down to the crossroads like those long ago
Looking for the Devil so I could sell my soul
I needed something new, a chord I didn't know
So down to the crossroads, down I did go
I found sweet satan waiting before me he was there
Floating 'bove a lake of fire with diamonds in his hair
The light burned bright behind him, my heart near burst with fear
Before he spoke, lightning broke, thunder clapping in my ears
He spoke in Heiroglyphics, words I could not hear
But somehow still I knew his voice, the message was clear.
He said, "God cannot be caged, he is only one,
But I have many traps, my friend, to get your mission done."
Fiery disguise gone from his eyes, the Devil knelt before me
With thorny hand he clawed the land, digging as he told his story
He said:
"Son, you see, I cannot set you free. Mother's laws were heaven sent but since then she's been reticent. No one's quite sure what she meant but still her light can sure be bent.
...and though her word I cannot change, I can offer something strange. Another way to see the day, same old light but brand new sight."
So from the earth he took a gem, threw it in the air it spun and then:
A million diamonds in the sky, shining light into my eyes.
To my surprise he told no lies. Though he was gone he'd left his prize and though there shone no paragon I didn't care I thought it fair that for this deal I'd have to bear the many feels of the spinning wheels.
I went down to the river with Devil's diamonds in hand to give her
The journey long I wrote a song to help me carry on
And as I sang the forest rang with echoes loud and then a bang
A tree had fell and sure as hell the Devil stood to bid farewell
He was gone and still unknown was what he meant and where to go
The world was shrouded in a haze with which all valleys were ablaze.
The bud still promised wondrous powers and I would crush a thousand flowers with Devil's diamonds in the sky, as many sides as reasons why.

The Prince
03:12
|
|||
Around this hour
The guards watch the tower
Of life, of crown, or queen so speaks the ghost of power
Here comes the tide
Can't run or hide
Can you survive if the Prince died?
Blind to the facts
Stabbed in the back
Face the chills that reveal black
Our growing nose is melting snow
The river flows. On and on and on it goes...

Recurring Mimosa

A Recurring Mimosa
Purring like rhyme
Concerning him or the blurring of mime
Patterns I find each time always matters
Of hats or of vines exposing through chatters
A Recurring Mimosa
Purring like rhyme
Concerning him or the blurring of time
Grab her and dine reach for wine and flatter
Of that it's all fine the roses bloom at her
A Recurring Mimosa
Purring like rhyme
Concerning him or the currents of time
Tattered with shine teach signs with the hatter
Of cats or of lines it glows the moon so pure
A Recurring Mimosa
Purring like rhyme
Concerning him or the blurrence of time
Grab her and dine reach for wine and flatter
Of that it's all fine the roses bloom at her
